Who's ready for Top Gun?
It’s been the chatter of the clubhouse for months and now the Eaton Hall Top Gun, a 9 day mega-shoot, is staring us in the face. It’s here from June 6th – 14th.
The heart of the event is the English Sporting competition, consisting of 250 targets shot over 2 days – it’s designed to test the mettle of every shooter up and down the classes. If you’ve shot at Eaton Hall before, you’ll know what we mean when we say the course will be meticulously set to challenge competitors using the stunning topography of the ground.
If you’ve never been there before, you won’t be disappointed – trust us.
The overall prize pot for this event is £402,000. That’s huge. There’s cash in all classes, score bonuses, a High Gun pot and so much more.
With a prize fund of that size, we’re expecting the top shots from near and far to be jumping in their cars or hopping in their helicopters to try and snare a share.

Nine days of absolute mayhem
The sheer scale of this festival is something else. Nine days of non-stop action and the competition isn’t limited to the main events.
Throughout the week, the organisers will be running pool shoots for those looking for a quick-fire entry into the prizes. It’s the perfect way to keep the adrenaline going between the big rounds. Just turn up, miss a ‘gimme’ sitter, blame the wind / the cartridges / the sun and then head straight to the café for a bacon roll and a laugh about it.
It's sure to be an electric atmosphere
Expect premium exhibitors, exceptional hospitality and the camaraderie that only the shooting community can provide. Sure, we all want to smash every clay to smithereens but the best part of these nine days is going to be the amazing atmosphere in the clubhouse and around the ground.
Watching the shoot-offs under the lights, seeing the pros show us how it’s done and then trying to explain to anyone who’ll listen why we “definitely hit the second bird” even though the referee called a loss is what it is all about.
